The noble residence of the Wine Relais Villa Cordevigo welcomes its visitors along the driveway that winds through ancient cypress trees right up to the doorstep of the Oseleta restaurant, a gourmets’ retreat where you can enjoy the wines produced in the vineyards that can be viewed from the terrace. The references to the native land of chef Giuseppe D’Aquino are a declaration of love, classic reminders with a myriad of ideas from Southern Italy and the Mediterranean. Savouring the assertive flavours and prominent tastes in Cavaion, on the shores of Lake Garda, one can share in the applause for the aromas of Naples. A critical sense of appeal and a refined presentation of dishes blend admirably with the voluptuousness of the ingredients that D’Aquino exalts to the highest degree, as in the case of his signature dishes: Spaghetti with Piennolo tomato sauce, burrata cheese, lemon zest and a touch of Basil or Amberjack marinated in Piennolo tomato water, goat’s cheese with lime and celery sorbet. The chef is certainly not easily seduced by simple seasoning that could affect the integrity and elegance of refined flavours; his style can be seen in particularly light dishes, which safeguard the goodness of the ingredient.
