Olive trees, vineyards and the sapphire blue sea intermingle in a masterpieces that portrays the restaurant. The backdrop of an exciting panorama over the Bay of Nerano and the Amalfi coast’s sunsets, is the setting of the film starring the Mellino family. An innate passion for food flows directly in the veins of chef Tonino, whose father was a fisherman and whose mother a cook. In 1983 he opened his dream restaurant in Marina del Cantone. He still manages to bewitch with a simple, genuine and refined cuisine, whose roots lie firmly embedded in Mediterranean tradition and in the ability to enhance top quality raw materials: “First and foremost a chef must bear witness to the history and culture of his origins” says the chef, accompanied on this happy adventure by his wife Rita and his children Fabrizio and Raffaele. People say that the Mellino family dishes capture the Mediterranean sun and the veracity and passion of the South. Linguine alla Nerano, Mussel soup and, from his new creations, Scampi, caviar and aubergine sauce, or delicious Fusillone pasta with sea urchins and raw prawns, all provide a powerful blend of culinary art and craft.
