Chef Burkhard Bacher and his wife Annelies have succeeded in bringing new tastes to South Tyrol from Italian and Thai cuisine, but also from Japan and France. These new ideas provide a perfect blend in their restaurant, with a delicate balance of colours and traditions. It is no easy task introducing an innovative type of cuisine in Vipiteno right next to the Brenner pass, but the chef has trodden this solitary path for almost twenty years now, achieving peaks of pleasure that have made the trip worthwhile, so say the gourmet trekkers. The large open kitchen reveals a modern Bangkok reinterpreted in a masterly fusion style. Harmony and constancy accompany the drift of fine aromas and essences from the kitchen, while his wife Annelies shows similar aplomb in providing suitable pairings from a wide selection of the finest wines Cult dishes include Tuna Cube “Thought of Japan” which is the fastest and most enjoyable way to travel to the Orient and back to the peaks of the Dolomites within a couple of hours.
