The La Tenda Rossa restaurant has been a real two-family life project ever since the Santandrea and Salcuni families joined forces in the name of food and love, and their concerted efforts have recently been suitably rewarded. Since then their family tree has become so complex that it is worth taking a closer look at it, as well as the menu. Cristian Santandrea and Maria Probst are in the kitchen; Barbara and Cristiana Salcuni, together with Natascia Santandrea, now form an all-star team in the dining room, capable of conveying that full-powered hospitality with a capital H, as they like to define it. With its large, spacious tables and light, comfortable chairs in classic style, there is a typically homely calmness and serenity that fills the air and that is why its loyal customers return time and time again. All the same, this warm welcoming atmosphere does not overshadow their spasmodic search for perfection in every dish, including Salt-cod Cappelletti, Grilled pigeon with yellow pumpkin cream, moving with consummate ease from the sea to the mountains in a Tuscany full of genuine flavours at the service of cleanliness and refinement.
