Marcello Trentini

Despite the passing years Magorabin, the “bogeyman” of Turin tradition, has lost none of its nonconformist shine, creative flair and passion for colourful combinations and mixed marriages. It adores classical, French-style cuisine by which it is inspired, yet Marcello Trentini has provided it with his very own profound Piedmont appeal. Standing in the shadow of the Mole Antonelliana, the revolution has thus been accomplished, by giving birth to over five hundred recipes every year, which sooner or later make their appearance on the eloquent menu. His philosophy is to allow starring roles to only three ingredients per dish (their names are separated by curious slashes on the menu) often with Oriental influences acquired on his travels. The highly-refined setting has tastefully-designed lighting that enhances the essential nature of the dinner table, where service is brilliantly delivered by maître Simona Beltrami, a consummate expert in wines. The dishes that must be tried include Shellfish tortelli/yuzu, Spaghetti/bread/butter/anchovies, Lobster/cabbage/
lemongrass and Duck/foie gras/beetroot.
