An ancient watch tower is the setting for this gastronomic paradise, a temple dedicated to gourmets, from where you can see the sea around Vico Equense and, at the same time, Vesuvius on the other side of the gulf. Gennaro Esposito celebrates all the very best of Campania: from really fresh fish to home-grown vegetables, local meats and cheeses from Cilento. Founder and organiser of the “Festa a Vico”, Gennaro attracts the best chefs from all over Italy to Vico Equense every year, for a great event lasting a whole week, to celebrate its highly gourmet-geared Tower. Great sensitivity in preparing dishes and outstanding creativity are the distinguishing elements of his cuisine: one dish on the menu that makes guests lose their bearings is risotto, a speciality traditionally from Northern realms. Here it enjoys one of its best expressions in the world, particularly when you decide to taste it with lemon, raw amberjack and tomato. In the dining room, you can feel the dedicated professionalism and that human warmth typical of the South, ensuring that each guest receives careful, made-to-measure treatment.
