There are many popular dining destinations in Milan, but one of the most outstanding ones is undoubtedly the Seta restaurant, situated in the second courtyard of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. A place of fine luxury which is discrete but does not go unnoticed, with its large windows that create a subtle continuity between the indoor space and the outdoor area which in summer is laid for lunch and dinner. The hyper-technological open-view kitchen launches the live performance recounting the meticulous culinary artistry played by Antonio Guida. His is a highly creative, modern and eccentric reinterpretation of Italian traditions, with some investigation work looking to the South. One cannot fail to see in his dishes, the hand of a chef with a vast cultural background, whose career has included trips to kitchens all over the world. The result is a proposal with clear, sharply-defined and highly-balanced flavours, obtained through rare and sophisticated techniques. In the dining room, the head sommelier, Andrea Loi, reveals to his guests the secrets of the thirteen hundred or so, French and Italian labels and advises them on the art of good wine. Careful supervision by the maître Manuel Tempesta makes sure that the philosophy of Chef Guida is translated into impeccable service.
