In Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, on a patch of land between Naples and Salerno, the rhythm of daily life is marked by the sun, the sea, history and beauty: all elements that symbolise this area, and benchmarks of the Iaccarino family’s culinary ideas. Chef Ernesto, in the footsteps of his father Alfonso, serves up his own renewed vision of the time-honoured traditional cuisine of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Amalfi Coast. A supporter of biodiversity and the Mediterranean diet, cooked with zero-km ingredients from his own farm, Le Peracciole, he states that “cooking is a job of the mind, but also of gut feelings, instinct and the heart” allowing all of nature to live, whether from the sea or land. In the dining room, mamma Livia, a true expert in warm hospitality, and their son Mario, maître and cellarman, devote their attention to the guests. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy here the taste of enchanting wines, stored in a charming, pre-Roman underground passage, also equipped with a room for maturing cheeses. The harmony of the Iaccarino family is reflected in the 19th century Neapolitan building housing the hotel and in the multinational flavours that can be found in prestigious restaurants all over the world.
