Owner and renowned chef Giancarlo Morelli opened his brainchild in 1993, and to this day it remains an excellent choice for anyone keen on concrete cuisine that’s totally in sync with the surrounding area. Welcome to Seregno, just a few miles from Milano – a place known for its winning hospitality and food traditions. In the local dialect, pomiroeu alludes to a village famous for its apple orchards. Indeed, the restaurant is located inside a refurbished 19th-century farmhouse that makes for an extremely intimate, pleasant country atmosphere. The menu features many of Morelli’s famed creations. Ingredients are seasonal, simple and combined with great expertise. Risotto remains the chef’s undisputed strong point, and at least two different renditions are available at each meal, along with several prized meat and fish dishes. The well-stocked wine cellar also includes selections from Morelli’s own private collection. Upon request, you may even take your seat at the exclusive table surrounded by Pomiroeu’s fine wines.
