Sarri

Andrea Sarri e Alessandra Pesce

Sarri is set in one of the most romantic locations imaginable, on the Tyrrhenian coast, facing the picturesque seaside hamlet Prino, just outside Imperia. The reception is always precise and punctual, and simplicity is the watchword, along with tonal elegance. Owner and chef Andrea Sarri succeeds in gracefully creating an experience that blends tradition with contemporary combinations that are unusual and entertaining, as he plays with tastes and expectations, while leaving intact the substance and technique of traditional dishes. There are references to ingredients from elsewhere, but the focus is on local produce, including fresh fish, which is the centerpiece of a menu that highlights a parade of aromatic herbs. Vegetables, herbs and spices are all grown exclusively for Sarri, and so are the olives used to produce the restaurant’s extra virgin Taggiasca olive oil – the best of this generous land, allowing the chef to express himself with top-quality ingredients. Elegant, delicious, smart – Sarri’s cooking satisfies all tastes. His wife Alessandra oversees the dining room, where the atmosphere is casual and well conducted. Add the views of the sea and the charming, brightly colored houses of fishermen for an experience that’s pleasant to the hilt, all the way around.
