Il Comandante Restaurant

Salvatore Bianco

With a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples, nestled in a liminal position on the border between the sea and the sky, the refined il Comandante Restaurant sits on the ninth floor of the beautiful Romeo Hotel. Born in 1978, Chef Salvatore Bianco has taken up shop in this major rooftop in Naples, drawing from his wealth of experience abroad and in Italy to tackle the challenge of its sky-high expectations. A challenge he’s more than up to. The restaurant is named in honor of the famed Captain Achille Lauro, who loved to watch his ships dock and set sail from the pier at Molo Beverello. Recently refurbished and entirely renovated, il Comandante greets its guests with an unforgettable experience that engages all the five senses, offering food and service that can’t be beat. Chef Bianco’s unfurling of food is especially sophisticated and refined. He isn’t afraid to pair strong and delicate flavors, nor to experiment with different traditions. North meets South in his cooking, bringing together different influences and tastes and creating unique dishes. Ingredients? Only the very best and fresh ones. Detail, color combos and let’s-mix-things-up. Scrumptious sweetbreads? Astounding sea bass, mullet, cuttle fish? You got them! And so much more, of course. You’re in for a high-class meal.
